Go to the shopFacial HIFU is a focused ultrasound treatment that stimulates collagen in the deep layers of the skin, down to the layer that supports the face. It progressively improves firmness along the jawline, under the chin and on the neck, with no needles, no surgery and no downtime.
At our practice in El Poblado we use Liftera® 2. Dr. Olga Gómez Montoya, physician and surgeon from the University of Antioquia, assesses whether HIFU is right for you, which areas to treat and whether it makes sense to combine it with collagen biostimulators, for natural results without changing your identity.

HIFU Liftera® 2 · Medical judgment · El Poblado
HIFU concentrates ultrasound energy into very small points beneath the skin. At those points the tissue is heated in a controlled way, and the skin responds by producing new collagen over the following weeks.
Unlike a laser, it doesn't act on the surface: it reaches the deep dermis and the superficial muscular layer, called the SMAS, which is what supports the face. That's why it improves firmness without peeling or reddening the skin.

Each area is treated at the depth it needs. Tap each one to see the page that explains it in detail.
Improves the definition of the jaw contour when the skin begins to lose support. See non-surgical treatment for facial laxity.
Helps add firmness when the double chin is due to laxity rather than fat. See non-surgical double chin treatment.
Improves the firmness of the neck skin, which is thinner. See neck and décolletage.
Supports midface firmness, sometimes together with biostimulators. See collagen biostimulators.
Using the applicator for small areas, it treats the brow area and the contour around the eyes.
When collagen loss speeds up, HIFU is part of many firmness plans. See skin and menopause.
It can: improve firmness along the jawline, under the chin and on the neck in a moderate, progressive way, without surgery or downtime, and help maintain it over the years.
It can't: give the result of a surgical facelift, remove fat the way another treatment does, or show the final result on the same day. Collagen forms over months.
That's why, at your assessment, the doctor tells you whether HIFU is the right choice for you, or whether you'd benefit more from combining it with Sculptra or other collagen biostimulators.
"Firmness that is built slowly is the kind that looks natural." — Dr. Olga Gómez Montoya
The doctor evaluates the degree of laxity, the quality of your skin and whether HIFU is the best option, or whether you need another technique or surgery.
The areas to be treated are marked and the cartridges are chosen according to the depth each one needs.
The ultrasound is applied in lines. You'll feel heat and small internal pinpricks, especially near the bone.
Collagen forms over 2 to 3 months. We review your progress and, if it suits you, the treatment is repeated once a year.
It is a high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment. It concentrates energy at very precise points beneath the skin, which heat up and stimulate the production of new collagen. It improves the firmness of the face and neck without needles or surgery.
Depending on the cartridge, it acts at different depths: in the dermis and down to the superficial muscular layer that supports the face, called the SMAS, at about 4.5 mm. That's why it is said to work "from the inside out."
It is the HIFU device we use at our practice. It has cartridges for different depths and an applicator for small areas, such as the eye contour. What matters, as with any technology, is who recommends it and how the treatment is planned.
No. HIFU improves firmness in a moderate, progressive way. When the skin has descended significantly, surgery gives a result that HIFU cannot, and at your assessment we'll tell you so honestly.
Some people notice firmer skin in the first few days, but the real result arrives at 2 to 3 months, which is how long new collagen takes to form.
You feel heat and small internal pinpricks, which are more intense over the bone. It is tolerable and the intensity is adjusted during the session. Afterwards you can return to your routine.
Typically one session a year as maintenance, depending on your skin and your age. It is sometimes combined with collagen biostimulators for a more complete result.
They do different things and complement each other. HIFU works on firmness in the deep layers using heat; biostimulators such as Sculptra® stimulate collagen and improve support and skin quality. The combination is decided at your assessment.
Yes, there is HIFU for areas such as the abdomen or the arms. If you're interested, ask us at your assessment whether it's the best option for your case.
It depends on the areas to be treated. At your assessment in El Poblado we explain the plan and its investment clearly. Message us CANDIDATE.
The first step is an assessment. Dr. Olga tells you whether you're a candidate for HIFU, which areas to treat and what you can expect.
